Lauren Godsiff - Social Worker/Family Support Team Lead

Lauren's background in social work began over a decade ago in case management and homelessness. Since then she has worked in child and adolescent mental health where she worked in wraparound facilitation and in providing therapeutic interventions with young people and their families. Her role at CARE Waitakere crosses over a number of areas including ACC Sensitive Claims social work, case management and working with relationships. Lauren enjoys working with couples and families to help identify negative cycles and to make changes towards a more fulfilling relationship. 
Lauren works from a strengths based perspective drawing from a number of theories and models that best fit the needs of the client, couple or whanau she is working with.

Katrin Wohlfart – Social Worker/ Family Support

Registered Social Worker (SWRB)

Bachelor of Arts in Social Work
Specialized in Child, Youth and Family

Katrin studied social work in Germany with a focus on child, youth and family. During her internship at a mental health facility in Auckland, she gained experience in the areas of traumatic brain injury, addiction, and trauma. As part of her studies, Katrin helped implement a dance project with young people with disabilities and co-facilitated a weekly art group for people with mental health challenges.

Here at CARE Waitakere Trust, Katrin is involved in the areas of ACC Sensitive Claims social work and case management. She draws on a variety of theories and approaches which she tailors to the needs and self-identified goals of individuals and their whanau. Using the strengths-based approach and considering one’s individual lifeworld, she aspires to empower clients to lead more fulfilling and independent lives. After her experience in applying creative tools in social work, Katrin is also a good fit for supporting and empowering our clients in our weekly art group.
